Abigail and Lowell | Wedding

October 28, 2017 | Eagle Amphitheater | Syke’s Place | Decatur, AL

Abigail and Lowell’s wedding will be one that I will always remember. Not because they decided to go against the norm and have a Halloween themed wedding reception, but because the day was filled with so much beauty, joy and love.

Abby is such a creative and talented young woman. Her personal touches were seen throughout the entire day. From the wedding invitations she designed, to all of the paper goods and signs she hand wrote, to the carefully curated colors and decor…she really brought her wedding vision to life.

Lowell and Abby compliment each other so well. Anytime Lowell laid eyes on Abby his face would light up with that big trademark smile of his. And whenever they’re in the presence of each other, the joy Abby is feeling is evident.

Their reception was hands down one of the most fun receptions I’ve ever photographed! It’s not every day that I get the opportunity to take pictures of Cruella de Vil, Forest Gump, Han Solo and Bob Ross – just to name a few. Everyone, including Harry & Loyd from Dumb & Dumber (just wait till you see who wore those costumes), danced the night away to 80s cover music while skeletons and black crows looked on.

These watches belonged to Abigail’s grandmother from 1950.

This dress and hanger was in honor of Abigail’s maid of honor who is currently serving our country in Kuwait. Such a sweet way to keep her a part of the day.

I just loved this first look!! Lowell could NOT stop smiling when he saw his bride.

After the beautiful, intimate ceremony, family and friends changed into their costumes and arrived for Abby and Lowell’s Hallowedding Reception at Sykes Place.

After the bride and groom did all their reception formalities, they changed into their costumes and gave everyone a good laugh with their re-enactment from Dumb and Dumber.

This couple was probably my personal favorite! As a die-hard Friends fan, I totally appreciated their Chandler and Monica costumes. Remember the flashback episode where Monica accidentally drops a knife on Chandler’s “wicker shoes” and cuts off the tip of his toe?!?! Yeah, they nailed it.
