July 9, 2017 | Hampton Cove Wedding Plantation | Gurley, Alabama
You might be wondering, “What in the world is a faux wedding??” Trust me, this is a question I’ve been asked numerous times over the past couple of weeks. Well, let me tell you….it genius! It’s where a beautiful wedding venue, like Hampton Cove Wedding Plantation, opens it’s doors to wedding vendors and guests for a totally unique bridal experience. Guests, who are typically newly engaged brides and their families or fiancés, are able to see how a “wedding” transpires at HCWP. This is a great way for these brides to visualize their own wedding and if they feel this elegantly Southern venue is right for their special day. For wedding vendors like myself, it’s a way for us to show ourselves in action to a group of people who are in the market for our services.
A wedding could not be complete without a bride and groom and MY GOODNESS did we have the best!!! Actually, I have to take a minute and brag on them…Taner and Victoria Swinea are sweet friends of mine. Victoria was actually in my college ministry at our church until she and Taner were married three years ago. My husband helped officiate their wedding in our daughter, Claire, was their flower girl. Getting all fancy and pretending to get married (again) was the perfect way for them to celebrate their third anniversary!
The whole day could not have been more beautiful! My jaw literally dropped when I walked into the reception hall stables. The more weddings I photograph, the more in awe I am of the talent that is in the Huntsville wedding industry. I hope you enjoy these photos and make sure to see the vendor listing at the bottom of this post as well as a highlight video from Theory Y Design.
The videographer and I were able to steal our models away for some beautiful photos after the guests left.
