Jessica and Connor | Wedding

April 14, 2018 | Harvest Hollow Venue & Farm | Toney, Alabama

Jessica and Connor’s love story began over a cup of coffee and trigonometry at a local Starbucks five years ago. Connor volunteered to tutor Jessica, who he had known through church, before a big exam. As luck would have it, Jessica did not pass the test (she admitted she was way too distracted to focus on math) but their time together lit a spark that would later grow into a friendship which turned into relationship and ended in a marriage.

The couple was married at the new and breathtakingly gorgeous Harvest Hollow Venue & Farm on the rainiest day of the year. No kidding, it poured the entire day. Thankfully, the white walls, large windows and overhangs of Harvest Hollow allowed us to still get beautiful photographs while keeping the bridal party dry. On the other hand, Irene (my second shooter) and I looked like drowned rats in ponchos!

I really can’t say enough wonderful things about this beautiful venue…it’s truly a photographer’s dream (especially THIS photographer who loves white walls and is obsessed with shiplap). Harvest Hollow created the perfect backdrop for Jessica’s wedding vision – one that she’s been dreaming about since she was eight years old. One of the moments Jess was most looking forward to was joining her father at the bottom of the beautiful, grand staircase and walking down the aisle to her future husband as her aunt sand her favorite love song. Personally, I think it was everything she dreamed it would be.

Jess and Connor, I wish you all the happiness and blessings on your marriage. Here are some of my favorite photos from their (very wet) wedding day…

Jessica’s late grandfather wrote this poem many years ago and it was read during their ceremony.
