Kathleen and Jeremy’s wedding day was filled with classic Southern charm. From gardenias and dogwoods to tailored navy suits and a cathedral length veil.
They are two of the most relaxed and laid back people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Their calming personalities proved very helpful on a wedding day where bad weather was an imminent threat. It was obvious through their laughter and smiles that a marriage was more important to them than a “perfect” wedding day.
However, Kathleen and Jeremy did in fact get that “perfect” wedding day! Thankfully, the storms held of until their indoor ceremony at Faith Presbyterian Church. The rain and thunder actually created a soothing soundtrack as the couple exchanged vows in front of their dear family and friends. One of my favorite moments was when the bride and groom’s parents joined them on the alter for a moment of family prayer. It was truly a touching moment.
Afterwards, everyone celebrated the marriage at Huntsville Museum of Art. As rain fell against the walls of windows of the museum, guests dined on delicious southern flavors from Hartley’s Catering followed by an ice cream sundae bar.
The Number One Party Band had guests out of their chairs and on their feet dancing the night away till the couple exited through a shower of birdseed and then drove off in a retro Trans Am.
Mr. and Mrs. Gillen, I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon and get to re-live your amazing wedding day through these photos!
