Meg and Matthew’s wedding is one that I will forever keep in my heart. When I first met Meg, I knew she was someone special. The word that comes to mind to describe her is intentional, which I shared with her on her wedding day. She’s intentional with her words, her actions and her love.
Meg and Matthew’s wedding was full of intention and sentiment. The couple personally wrote letters to each of their wedding guests that were then beautifully displayed on a wooden wall at the reception for guests to claim. The bridesmaids wore crowns made of greenery in their hair as a way to honor and remember Meg’s mother from her wedding day years ago. From the very beginning, Meg shared with me that she and Matthew desired for their wedding to be a time to honor their family, bridal party and guests and they did this beautifully. Such selfless people.
These two have a beautiful love, a love that is centered around Christ. I know, without a doubt, that they will do great things for the Kingdom together…
Meg and Matthew both unknowingly gave each other letter openers as part of their wedding gifts.
Matthew had this box specially made to hold the earrings her gave Meg. It was a secret box and he gave her clues on how to open it. It also had the same tree design that was on the box her engagement ring was in. So sweet and creative!
Meg’s sister presented her with her bouquet that had their mom’s necklace tied around it as well as a small purple butterfly so that Meg could carry a piece of her mom on her wedding day.
Taylor, the bridesmaid in the middle, was also the wedding planner, floral designer AND a matron of honor. She was incredible!
Here’s the wall of handwritten letters to all their guests – one of my favorite details from this wedding.
