I’d be willing to bet that when Melanie was just a little girl growing up in Miami and dreaming of her future wedding she never imagined exchanging vows on a beautiful farm nestled in the rolling hills of Tennessee. But then she met Andrew, a Southern gentleman from Alabama with a great sense of humor and a slight southern a drawl. And as they say, the rest is history.
Melanie and Andrew became husband and wife beneath a beautiful tree on a breezy afternoon in March. Many of Melanie’s Floridian family and friends shivered throughout the day as they were not use to the brisk breeze that came off the foothills. It was obvious how loved this couple is by the amount of guests who traveled near and far to be a part of their special day.
The bride and groom decided to stick with tradition and waited to see each other until the ceremony. Andrew’s face lit up as he watched his bride and her father make the long walk from the barn to the wedding aisle. This long walk was perfect for some special moments between Melanie and her dad before he handed his little girl over to her future husband.
Following the sweet ceremony, family and friends dined and danced in the elegantly rustic barn under glowing twinkle lights. I was able to sneak the couple outside for a few sunset photos before the sun disappeared behind the mountains. The rest of the evening was filled with salsa dancing, conga lines and a grand exit with bubbles.
