June 2, 2018 | Burritt on the Mountain | Huntsville, Alabama
James and Melanie, high school sweethearts, were married on the most beautiful Saturday in June at the always classic and picturesque Burritt on the Mountain in Huntsville, Alabama. A warm wind was blowing through the trees on the mountain and the sun was shining brighter than ever but it still couldn’t out shine Melanie…she was absolutely glowing in her elegant Bella Couture gown. The entire day was so smooth and so relaxed thanks to an amazing team of wedding vendors as well as the coordination talents of Susan Rutenberg.
Melanie has impeccable taste (I think James would agree ;)) and her timeless style was evident throughout the entire day. From the beautiful color palette, to her sentimental bridal details, to the guys’ bowties, Mel’s style shined. As always, Mark and Ron with InBloom pulled everything together perfectly with their forever gorgeous floral arrangements. The beauty of the day lasted long past the sunset as guests enjoyed a gorgeous summer night on The View listening to the tunes Metropolitan spun while dancing under string lights and starts as the city lights of Huntsville created the most epic backdrop.
James and Melanie, as well as their families, are some of the kindest souls. Being with them felt like being with family and I was honestly a little sad when the bride and groom ran through their tunnel of bubbles and the night was over. I’m so thankful to these people for allowing me to be a small part of such a stunning day.
Melanie is holding a handkerchief that was first used by her grandmother’s great grandmother on her wedding day in Huntsville in 1870 and has since been passed down to every bride in their family since!
