March 11, 2017 | Hampton Cove Wedding Plantation | Gurley, Alabama
Natalie and Ryan chose the beautiful and scenic Hampton Cove Wedding Plantation for their March wedding. As I turned my car onto Cherry Tree Road, I was guided by the endless white fences that lead me to the beautifully southern venue nestled in the hills of Northern Alabama. Upon arrival, I was greeted (as always) with the biggest hugs and well wishes by Carla and Heather, the mother/daughter team who own and run this popular wedding locale. These ladies perfectly display southern hospitality by going out of their way to love and serve anyone who steps foot on their property.
Speaking of loving and serving others…Natalie and Ryan also do this so well. They have the special ability to make everyone around them feel important and cherished. And the way they love each other is adorable and heartwarming .
Their wedding day turned out to feel more like winter than spring. The wind was gusting and there was a chance that sleet could fall at anytime, but you would never know by looking at the bride and groom – they were glowing with excitement and happiness. Even a last minute ceremony site change due to weather didn’t phase them – all they cared about was becoming husband and wife and celebrating with family and friends.
I have so many favorites from this wedding: Natalie’s gorgeous color palette and vision for her wedding day was brought to life by Simpson’s Florist. Ryan’s reaction to seeing Natalie during their first look was adorably priceless. And the father/daughter dance during the reception was one I’ll always remember! It began as a sweet dance between Natalie and her dad and then her grandfather cut in. After that her brothers jumped in, followed by her dad who all were now wearing hats and sunglasses, and that’s when the party started! And it didn’t stop till Natalie and Ryan’s grand sparkler exit!
At the end of the night, I drove back down the long gravel drive of Cherry Tree Road with a full heart and a big smile.
